Push back racking merges the advantages of drive-in racking with pallet live storage helping you make the best use of limited capacity. Through creating a maximum of a four pallet deep rack, you can optimise the wall space of your warehouse. This highly cost effective system is an alternative to drive-in rack designs and has the additional benefit that all locations can be loaded or emptied without moving adjacent pallets. 

How push back works:

Pallets are placed by the forklift on rolling carts which manoeuvre on slightly inclined rails. Each time a pallet is added to the rack it pushes the pallet entered before it further back. When removing the last pallet entered will be the first out. Afterwards the innovative system uses gravity to move the remaining pallets forward using the roller carts. 

Ideally suited to order picking operations, key benefits include:

    The push back frames are designed with live storages techniques, making the pallets when stored mobile, thus meaning that current storage can be pushed further towards the wall when needed. Removing a pallet is even easier, just pick the nearest pallet from the wall and let gravity do the rest.
  2. 85% Space Utilisation
    The innovative push back frames allow up to four rows of pallets to be stored next to a wall due to the rear rack beam being slightly higher than front sub frame.  This allows you to minimise aisles and creates a further 85% space utilisation.
  3. Standard Fork Lift Trucks
    The push back racking system requires no specialist forklift, instead relies on the mobility created by the live racking system. Due to pallets manoeuvring through series of separate sub frames there is no need for a deep reach truck.
